Tai Chi Chuan is meditation in motion. It is an internal Chinese martial arts practice known for it’s self-defense and it’s internal health benefits. It is considered a soft style of martial arts that makes it easy for everyone at any age or with disabilities to practice. Though it appears graceful and gentle it is deceivingly effective as a method of self-defense. These slow and rhythmical movements are designed to stimulate the flow of energy within the body to improve the mind-body connection. The term Tai Chi refers to the Taoist philosophy of yin (soft) and yang (hard) a state of mutual existence and dynamic equilibrium of all things.
Tai chi practice promotes balance, joint flexibility, improves cardiovascular and respiratory functions, reducing pain, stress and anxiety.
